Our Faculty Members' Project Was Entitled to Be Supported by TÜBİTAK
The project, "Development of an ALL Diagnostic System Using Attention-Assisted Multitask Deep Learning," led by Dr. Buket Toptaş from our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Grant Program.
The project includes Dr. Sultan Deniz Altındağ from our Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Davut Hanbay from İnönü University's Faculty of Engineering as researchers. The project will develop a multitask deep learning model based on self-supervised learning for the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) from microscopic bone marrow images. The model will perform cell segmentation and subtype (L1, L2, L3) classification in the same network, providing an automatic, reliable, and cost-effective diagnostic system.
We congratulate the faculty members and the project team whose project has been awarded TÜBİTAK support and wish them continued success.
