Program Objectives
The objective of the program is to educate Correctional Officers who:
- Have internalized professional ethics and national values;
- Respect human rights and embrace universal principles of law;
- Possess the professional competencies required to work in correctional institutions;
- Understand and can effectively implement the procedures and practices related to the correctional system, while being able to develop solutions to professional challenges;
- Have knowledge of the legal disciplines relevant to their profession;
- Aim to rehabilitate offenders and facilitate their reintegration into society, supported by strong communication skills;
- Are open to development and innovation, capable of utilizing information and communication technologies, environmentally conscious, and committed to human values.
Program Goals
The program aims to enhance both the professional qualifications of students and their sense of commitment and belonging to the profession through the education and training they receive before entering public service.
