Workplace Training in the 3+1 Education Model

Under the 3+1 Education Model, students admitted to our program complete three semesters of theoretical and practical courses at the university. During the remaining semester (70 working days), they undertake professional workplace training in the correctional institutions of Bandırma within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses (CTE) of the Ministry of Justice and our University.

In this context, approximately half of the second-year students complete their workplace training during the fall semester, while the remaining students undertake their training during the spring semester in the correctional institutions located in Bandırma. According to established practice, an average of five students are placed in Bandırma Type T Closed Prison No. 1, five students in Bandırma Type T Closed Prison No. 2, and five students in the Bandırma Type M Closed Prison, allowing a total of fifteen students per semester to receive professional training in these institutions.

In addition, students participating in workplace training at these institutions take the courses “Professional Intervention Techniques and Tactical Applications through Teamwork” and “Correctional Institution Security and Workplace Training” under the coordination of expert instructors.
