Message from the Head of the Department

Dear Students and Visitors,

As the Department of Computer Technologies at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, our primary goal is to educate the qualified workforce required by the rapidly evolving world of information technologies. The Computer Programming Program, which is actively carried out within our department, prepares students for the future in line with industry expectations by combining strong theoretical knowledge with a practice-oriented education.

Today, software technologies, artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity, mobile applications, the Internet of Things, and automation systems continue to influence every aspect of our lives. This transformation increases the demand for professionals who possess strong technical knowledge, analytical thinking skills, advanced problem-solving abilities, and practical competence. Our aim is to educate our students not only as technically skilled individuals but also as professionals who are innovative, productive, open to continuous development, and well integrated with the industry.

Through the 3+1 education model implemented in our department, our students establish direct contact with the business world during their studies, gain valuable industry experience, and become familiar with professional working environments before graduation. Consequently, our graduates begin their careers not only with a diploma but also with practical work experience.

Throughout their education, our students acquire competencies in programming technologies, database systems, networking technologies, web and mobile application development, artificial intelligence applications, cybersecurity, and current software technologies. At the same time, we strive to educate computer technicians who work effectively in teams, possess strong communication skills, uphold professional ethics, and embrace lifelong learning.

Graduates of our department may continue their undergraduate education through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS), enabling them to advance their academic careers. In this way, we provide our students with valuable opportunities for both professional success and academic development.

As we continue our mission of educating individuals who not only keep pace with technology but also contribute to its advancement, we consider the achievements of our students to be our greatest source of motivation.
