1. Accounting professionals gain knowledge about the companies they will work for, especially how businesses are organized, financed, and managed, as well as information about the business environment.
2. They analyze financial transactions, keep the necessary accounting records, and prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports.
3. They acquire knowledge of accounting methods and practices in the business world.
4. They gain the legal background required in the accounting process.
5. While performing the accounting profession, they comprehend and interpret local, regional, national, and international developments related to their field and demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
6. They carry out social security transactions and tax calculations, process accounting documents, and prepare tax declarations.
7. Accounting professionals are sensitive to public interest and social responsibility and develop awareness of lifelong learning, reliability, responsibility, time management, and compliance with laws and regulations.
8. They take responsibility individually and within groups, communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, and solve problems using qualitative and quantitative data.
9. They understand cost and financial information.
10. They know and can appropriately use the Conceptual Framework, Turkish Accounting Standards (TAS), Turkish Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS), and related interpretations issued by the Turkish Accounting Standards Board.
11. They have knowledge of operating systems, basic office software, and general computer hardware, and can access professionally useful documents using information and communication technologies.
12. They possess theoretical and practical knowledge supported by up-to-date information in their field and gain the ability to use this basic theoretical and practical knowledge in advanced education or related fields.
13. They are able to evaluate the basic-level knowledge and skills they have acquired in their field with a critical approach, identify learning needs, and meet those needs.
14. They have the competency to express their ideas in written and oral communication at the level of the basic knowledge and skills they possess in their field.
15. They have awareness of social, scientific, cultural, and ethical values in the collection, implementation, and dissemination of data related to their profession, and sufficient consciousness regarding universal social rights, social justice, quality, cultural values, and occupational health and safety.
16. They develop a lifelong learning awareness.
17. They are open to participating in programs aimed at learning needs, change, and innovation.
