“Food Safety Awareness Seminar” Held
The “Food Safety Awareness Seminar” organized by the Food Processing Department brought the sector and the education world together. Mauri Maya Quality Assurance Manager İrem Kartaner, an expert in the field, participated in the seminar as a speaker.
The event aimed to raise awareness in the field of food safety and to ensure that students closely follow sectoral developments. Participants included Bandırma Vocational School Food Processing Department students as well as Hafsa Sultan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Food Technology Department teachers and students. High school students had the opportunity to get to know the university environment and gained up-to-date information on food safety.
İrem Kartaner provided comprehensive information on hygiene, traceability, and quality control processes in food production in her speech. Kartaner contributed to students reinforcing their theoretical knowledge with practice with her presentation based on real sectoral examples. The event ended with a Q&A session and the presentation of a certificate of appreciation.
